A Digital Ecosystem That Serves a Healthier Future
Leaving behind surveillance capitalism with
open-source software, and privately owned cloud infrastructure

The digital systems we depend on were never built for the greater good—they extract, they surveil, and they erode autonomy and cultural diversity. But a different culture is already taking root: one of transparent tools, privacy by default, and open code shaped by those who use it. This quiet cultural shift is already unfolding, stewarding our digital spaces with the same care we give our communities and ecosystems. Whether you’re an individual unwilling to be farmed for data, or a small group with a shared vision of a healthier future, a new space is opening here. The invitation is to co-create a digital ecosystem that genuinely serves the greater good—where infrastructure belongs to the people who use it, and culture grows from autonomy, dignity, and collective care.
Infrastructure for a healthy digital ecosystem
These aren’t packaged products; they’re open-source building blocks of a solution, chosen because they align with privacy, collective ownership, and real human need. Together, they form a digital ecosystem we can rely on—for the daily work that matters, for conversations that stay ours, and for a digital life rooted in autonomy, dignity, and care rather than extraction and control.
This combination of open source software offers the following basic features: online file storage and file sharing, collaborative document editing (word, spread sheet, presentation), contacts database, personal and shared calendars, private messaging and video conference calls, private email account, and many more that can be plugged into NextCloud based on needs. Think of them as privacy-respecting alternatives to Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DropBox and Zoom services.
Linux Server

A well‑maintained Linux server running on physical hardware owned by the community—not rented from Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, or Google. This is what makes true ownership possible, breaking the dependency on extractive data centres.
NextCloud

Secure file storage, shared calendars, contacts, and collaborative documents—all through NextCloud. Our work sits at the centre, never an advertising model, with no surveillance and no lock‑in.
Storage

Our files, held on community‑owned hardware and accessible from anywhere—without ever passing through corporate clouds. Reliable storage that keeps our data exactly where it belongs: in our hands.
Email Server

A dedicated email server where conversations remain ours alone, free from corporate data mining. No scanning, no profiling—just an inbox that respects the confidentiality our work and life deserve.
This infrastructure is expandable to host
Web Sites

A public or internal web presence on infrastructure that respects privacy and refuses to extract visitor data. No trackers, no third‑party scripts—just a space that reflects the values we live by.
Open Source Culture
A culture of openness, collaboration, and quiet generosity—where trust, the freedom to build what we love, and a sense of belonging to the commons shape the tools we rely on. Linux is living proof: a global community of contributors built a rock‑solid foundation that now quietly powers the internet, not for profit but because it matters. That’s the spirit we’re choosing to grow with.

A Shared Investment, A Shared Responsibility
Bringing our own infrastructure to life requires a financial commitment from those who gather around it—an initial setup cost and a modest monthly contribution to keep the servers well‑maintained and evolving. The exact number depends on what we build together: the services we choose, how many of us there are, and how much storage we need. To give a rough sense, a server supporting 40 people might start around €20 per month in total, and as more of us join, the contribution per person can become even lighter—potentially well below €10 each. The setup cost is explored openly, shaped by the details of our shared vision.
Beyond the financial piece, this is also an invitation to shape how the ecosystem is governed. From setting collective policies and handling day‑to‑day administration to stewarding the spirit of the project over time, every pair of hands that wants to carry some care is welcome. We’re not renting a product; we’re tending something together.
